About the Doctor

Dr. Reginald Mailhot received his B.S. degree from Providence College and a Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Mailhot is a member of the American Optometric Association, The Maine Optometric Association, The College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and the ancillary medical staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. In 1996, after a comprehensive three-year process of postgraduate education and certification, he became the first optometrist licensed in the State of Maine to independently treat glaucoma. Presently, he serves on the Glaucoma Review Subcommittee of the State Board of Optometry and on the Board of the Maine Optometric Association.

Dr. Mailhot has two children. Audrey teaches special education and Sarah is an architect. His wife Anne is an accountant who works at Family Eye Health & Contact Lens Center.
